The Crystal Crate
The OnlyCrates model from November has made its way to the Gumroad! Highly detailed and designed with ease of painting and assembly in mind. Great for gluing together to create barricades too!

As many of you know I work full-time and that work for PDS only happens in my free time. As such, when it comes to working on different projects I tend to chase what’s most captivating to me in the moment. This helps me stay motivated and engaged with my work, and it goes a long way to help prevent burnout!
I’ve been pretty quiet, but I’ve been tinkering with all sorts of things behind the scenes lately. Not all of them are ready for showcasing, but I’m going to share a few of the ideas here with you now because I’m excited about them :)
Coming soon/In active development:
Krennic’s Ship (hopefully this month, fingers crossed everything goes well- I started this one nearly last year if you can believe that!)

I’ve had a lot of fun working on these models and have probably watched that scene 20+ times now gathering near 100 screenshots to work from. I’m happy with the accuracy of the final designs and how they paint up. I hope you’ll consider supporting this project, I would love to see you there!

CATCHING UP WITH AARON
[A tiny part of the newsletter where I blog a bit]
This last month was a slower month for me due to an odd influx of personal trials and tribulations- including a car crash, a funeral (unrelated to the car crash), and several other intense life events. I’m not injured at all and am doing okay, but as many of you may have noticed I’ve been taking things a little slower as a result. Mental health is important :) For any of you out there struggling this time of year, be sure to reach out for help when you need it! You’re important to this world, I promise.
Chaos aside, this past month had some definite highlights! The Extra Life streaming event was amazing! I loved every minute of it… except for the last few hours when I babbled incoherently at David Sheff from Squamous Miniatures until I literally passed out on my desk while sitting in my chair for AN ENTIRE HOUR. Hahaha, it was fun though! Thank you to everyone who joined for the event, whether just watching or joining for some Battlefront 2, or just keeping me company throughout the day.
I also launched our new Discord server, Portal to the Pocket Dimension! Which I talked a bit about earlier. That’s been a lot of fun!
One of my siblings lives pretty far away and I only really get to see them once year during the holidays. This year I’m getting a chance to teach them Legion and they picked Scarif as their dream game table setup, so I’ve been working really hard to create terrain and models to build out a skirmish table for that! It’s been a lot of fun, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been able to accomplish with you all!
Finally, progress still continues on making the website a one-stop, searchable shop! I know some people don’t even go to the Gumroad to look for things anymore and that some of the models on Gumroad aren’t listed here on the site, which can be confusing. I wish it were a simpler task to get it all setup the way I like it- it just takes time is all. Lots of uploading and copying and pasting for each thing just sorta adds up.

EXTRA LIFE GAME DAY WAS A SUCCESS!
The annual 24hr stream on Twitch was this past month and it was a blast!
So far this year we’ve raised $1192 USD for Children’s Wisconsin! Thank you so much for your help!

Every month I’d love to feature an older model of mine and give you a little more information on its creation!
The Tooth Warrior
One of my favorite ships I’ve made! This one was very complicated at first because it was hard to dial in its actual size. Canon lists it as much smaller than it truly is, which is confusing. But using screenshots from the animated series, I was able to piece together a best guess on it’s actual size- and I’m quite proud of it!
Most people probably won’t have a use for the spinning wings, but it’s such a cool feature of the ship I just had to make it possible!
